Originally used in the 1930's, Horsehide is still the preferred choice for aviation enthusiasts. Nothing wears like Horsehide; as it ages it develops a patina for a rich antiqued look. It is also extremely durable and will provide years of wear - many Horsehide A-2 Jackets from WWII are still in circulation today!

Very good but still room for improvement August 11, 2011

The jacket is exactly as described and both good quality and value. Unfortunately the right hand slide pocket is inaccessible due to the lining being caught in other machining and requires a tailor to rectify. I was very pleased with the service delivery from Ace Jackets and the ability to track progress of the order. Unfortunately the USPS tracker was not as useful, it provided no updates once the order had left its sorting facility. All things considered, this has been a satisfactory experience.

As good as an Eastman or Buzz Rickson A-2 at 1/2 to 1/3 the price; even better if you count the 3 extra pockets!
