Description

Developed in an Army Air Force/US Navy joint venture, the AN-J-4 was used by both forces for some time. However, its career in the Navy was somewhat shorter than in the Army Air Forces, because most WWII Naval air battles occurred in the warmth of the South Pacific but it saw plenty of action hunting U-Boats in the Atlantic with USN crews piloting patrol bombers. In effect the Navy's version of the Army's B-3. This jacket has all the same design features as the original including knit cuffs inside the sleeve openings. The only exception are the side entry pockets which have been added for contemporary wear.
